Payment Policies
Payment is due at the time of session. For virtual sessions, IvyPay is used. The client will be sent a text with an online form to be filled out prior to meeting with the therapist. They are expected to fill out the form with their credit card information before the first meeting. The card they use will be charged directly before each session from that point on.
For in person session, payments are expected to be in the form of cash and are due in the beginning of the session.
Sessions that are not cancelled within 24 hours are subject to 100% session fee.
Session Time
It is important that you arrive on-time for your sessions. Arriving to sessions late impact your treatment. You are expected to notify the therapist when you will be late to a session before the session starts. Upon being 15 minutes late to a session without reaching out, the session will be terminated and you will be responsible for the full session fee.
Virtual Minor Policies
Minors attending sessions virtually and adults in therapy using EMDR must use either a laptop or desktop computer for sessions unless other arrangements are made with the therapist. It is easier for children to maintain focus on a computer and to utilize therapy programs over screen share.
Children require privacy during counseling sessions. They are to be in a secure and private location during sessions that are free from interruptions from family members and pets.
Referral Policies
In the event that I feel that you or your child requires a psychiatric evaluation (visit to a psychiatrist) I will give you multiple referrals to psychiatrists. I do not make these referrals lightly and they are in the best interest to you or your child to assess safety and because a higher level of care is needed. If these referrals are refused, I might have to terminate treatment and refer to a higher level of care.
COVID Policies
All new clients are currently virtual, there are no exceptions.
For existing clients, who are coming in for sessions, masks are mandatory. Individuals who are unable to keep their mask on properly (over the nose and chin) will be asked to leave and switched to virtual session.
In-person clients with any symptoms are expected to cancel their session and have a virtual session. Symptoms include runny/stuffy nose, sore throat, sneezing, coughing, headache, fatigue, fever, chills, aches, and stomach upset. If a client presents with symptoms in session, they will be permanently switched to virtual sessions.
